Warren County, Ohio, Funeral Home Record Preservation Project

In 2006, the Warren County Genealogical Society began a Funeral Home record preservation project by offering to photocopy original records from funeral homes serving in Warren County and providing the funeral home with a set of the copied records and an index to them. A second set of the records are maintained in the Warren County Genealogical Society Resource Center for patron use.

The information gathered during this project has been published as a series of seven volumes of Warren County, Ohio, Funeral Records containing information on 63,773 funerals recorded in 291 volumes of records from fifteen different funeral homes. We have an online index for each volume of Funeral Home records. which gives the name of the deceased, year plus the Volume and page number where the original funeral record is located. Researchers may visit our library to view the record of a person of interest to them. The society web site provides a means to order copies of records for a particular individual for those not able to visit our library in person. See our DownloadableForms
