Warren County Prosecuting Attorneys
The office of Prosecuting Attorney started with statehood in 1803 as an appointed position as the legal advisor for all county officers and to represents the State of Ohio in prosecution of criminals. This position became an elected one in 1833. Currently the Prosecuting Attorney serves a four year term and must be a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio.

Prosecuting Attorney Notes:
1. James L. Flannery moves to the Common Pleas Court Domestic Division in 1986.
2. Timothy A. Oliver is appointed February 2003 to the Domestic Relations Judge position.
3. Rachel Hutzel appointed to the 12th District Court of Appeals in spring of
2010. Elected to this position in fall of 2010.
Her term as county
prosecuting attorney finished Feb 9, 2011.
4. Bruce McGary appointed by Warren County Commissioners as interim prosecuting
attorney effective at midnight Wednesday Feb 9, 2011,
and expiring pending the vote of the Central Committee on
Tuesday Feb 15th, 2011.
5. David Fornshell elected by the Central Committee on Tues. Feb 15, 2011 to finish the last two years of Rachel Hutzel's unexpired term. He was sworn in on Thurs. Feb 18, 2011.
